You Can Make A Difference
Lack of information, lack of treatment options and misdiagnosis are constant struggles face by our children. In order to help children living in pain, we need to educate medical professionals and encourage research and clinical trials for better treatments. Through advocating for children living in pain, we raise awareness to help raise much needed funding to support education and to support research and treatments.
There are many ways you can help.
However you choose to get involved just know that everything you do makes a difference. After all, it is going to take efforts from all of us to improve the lives of children living in pain. Together we can offer hope for tomorrow for children living in pain today.

CORPORATE DONATIONS AND GRANTS
Many companies give to charitable organizations, either through a separate foundation or through their marketing budget. If you would like to pursue corporate giving opportunities, you may make the inquiry on your own or contact Sue Pinkham at firstname.lastname@example.org. We can work with your to create a personalized proposal from TCAPP that can be personally presented to your identified corporation. If you prefer, TCAPP can approach the identified corporate donor on your behalf.
A private foundation refers to a foundation that gets most of its funding from one key source - an individual, family, or corporation. Private foundations are often established to fund charitable organizations like The Coalition Against Pediatric Pain, especially when they have a specific mission with defined areas of interest that fit the PCD mission. In fact, depending on their legal designation, IRS regulations stipulate that private foundations MUST give away 5% of their net asset value every year. The most important aspect of creating a relationship with a private foundation is finding shared goals. Perhaps you know someone at a private foundation?
Many companies regardless of size have matching gift programs. A matching gift is a dollar for dollar match for donations made to an eligible non-profit organization—in other words an excellent way to double your donation! Human Resources departments are excellent resources for information on matching gift programs and can provide you with the necessary application forms. If you have questions, please contact Sue Pinkham at Sue@tcapp.org.
Planned giving to The Coalition Against Pediatric Pain benefits you, your loved ones. Planned Giving simply means that you plan to give a gift in the future. The most common planned gift is a “bequest”, which means that you will remember TCAPP in your will. If you, your family, friends or contacts are considering leaving an estate gift to TCAPP, please consult an estate planner to assist you with the purchase of a life insurance policy naming TCAPP as beneficiary.
